Gugelhupf with wine
Ingredients:
» 4 eggs
» 270 g sugar
» ½ teaspoons of grated lemon peel
» 160 g breadcrumbs
» 30 g MEGGLE Butter
» 350 ml dry white wine
» 20 ml lemon juice
» 40 ml orange juice
» 1 cinnamon peel
» 3 cloves
» 1 tablespoon of grated orange peel
» 10 white grapes
Preparation:
First, separate the yolks from the whites in two bowls. In a bowl with the yolks add 100 g of sugar, grated lemon peel and stir for 4-5 minutes until smooth. Then clean the mixer stirrers and beat them in snow. Once the foam is done, add 70 g of sugar and beat the egg whites until done. Then put the snow in a bowl with the beaten egg yolks and mix well. Then add the remaining snow and half of the crumbs and mix gently until smooth. Grease the form with the butter, sprinkle with the remaining crumbs and bake for 30 minutes. During this time, put in a saucepan 100 g of sugar, pour white wine, lemon juice, orange juice, add cloves, cinnamon, grated orange peel, peeled grapes and when done, cook for 3-4 minutes. The finished Gugelhupf is taken out of the oven and left to cool, then slowly poured with mulled wine to absorb the liquid as much as possible, cut into slices and serve.
