Privacy statement
Thank you for your interest in our portal as well as in our company. We take the protection of your personal data collected, processed and used during your visit to our portal very seriously. We have adopted technical and organizational steps to ensure that our company as well as our external service providers comply with the provisions of the Data Protection Act. In this part of our site, we would like to inform you about the scope, nature and purpose of the collection and use of personal data that you share with us and about their processing and application.
1. Data collection and processing
“Personal information” means information about you as an individual. This includes details such as name, address, phone number and email address. In general, you can visit our website without having to leave any personal information – for example, when you simply want to learn more about our products by clicking on the appropriate pages. In this way, we record every access to our website and every download of files stored on our website. The log records thus recorded are used in internal systems and statistics. Our log records record the names of the files accessed, the date and time of access, the amount of data transferred, whether the access was successful, the Internet browser, and the domain used for this access. This process does not transfer any personal data from the computer, and the data recorded by the system is stored separately from all personal data made available to us. We also record the IP addresses of computers that access our site. In some cases, however, we need your name and address and other details to ensure the services you request are provided. These other items of personal data are recorded and stored only if you have voluntarily provided us with such information – e.g. when sending an inquiry, when logging in to our site, by ordering (or sending an inquiry) and so on. You can withdraw your consent to the use of your data at any time. If you want to do this, please contact us.
2. Specific purpose, use and sharing of personal data
If you provide us with your personal information, we will use such information only to answer your inquiries, to process questions about our services (participation in sweepstakes, etc.), in connection with your feedback on marketing campaigns, or to provide you with access information and offers related to individual items. Any use of your data must be in accordance with the law.
We will collect, process and use the personal information you provide to us online solely for the purposes of which we have previously notified you. Your personal data will only be transferred or communicated to third parties if it is necessary to carry out one of the activities listed in the first paragraph of Section 1, Item 2, e.g., in cases where MEGGLE Group companies have entered into a contract with service providers (e.g., to deliver the goods you ordered), or if you have previously agreed to such exchange of information. Such third parties are prohibited from using personal data for other purposes.
Of course, we respect your wishes if you do not want your personal information to be used to further improve our relationship with customers (especially for direct marketing purposes or market research).
We will disclose personal information about our clients if we are required by law or court order to disclose that information. Disclosure of personal information is also possible in case it is necessary to confirm or support our General Terms and Conditions or other concluded agreements. The same is true for storing this data.
No data will be published for our commercial use. Our employees and companies that provide services with which we have concluded a cooperation agreement are required to sign a confidentiality agreement agreeing to comply with the provisions of the Bulgarian Data Protection Act. All access to personal data by our employees is limited to employees who need access to the data in question in order to perform their duties in our company.
3. Delete
Your personal data that we have stored is deleted in the following cases: if you withdraw your consent to the storage of your data; if knowledge of the data is no longer necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was stored; or if their storage is prohibited by another legal basis – except in cases when the legal deadline for keeping such data prohibits the deletion of the same. In such a situation, this data is excluded and not deleted.
4. Information
When you submit a request in writing, we will be happy to inform you of the information we have stored about you.
We make every effort to ensure that all technical and organizational measures are taken to store your personal data, that they are secure from unauthorized access. In email communication, we cannot guarantee that your information will be 100% secure: if you wish to send us information in confidence, we recommend that you do so by mail.
5. Cookies
When you visit one of our websites, we may choose to store data on your computer in the form of “cookies”. A cookie is a small text file that is transferred to a user’s computer during a visit to a website and then stored on the computer’s hard drive.
The information stored in these cookies helps us to automatically identify you the next time you visit our website and allows us to make products and services further tailored to our users – such as simpler menu options. Cookies help us personalize websites to your interests.
The user can visit our website without the use of cookies. If you do not want your computer to recognize them during a visit, you can set your computer not to store cookies on your hard drive by selecting the “Do not accept cookies” option in your browser settings. For specific details on how this works, read the instructions of your Internet browser provider. Failure to accept cookies may limit the functionality of our products and services.
6. Facebook
Our website integrates add-ons from the social network Facebook, 1601 South California Avenue, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA. You can recognize such add-ons via the Facebook logo or the “Like” button on our website. To view Facebook plugins, please visit developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/.
When you visit our website at www.meggle.bg, the plugin provides a direct connection between the browser and the Facebook server. In the process, Facebook was notified that you – or your computer and IP address – had visited our site.
If you click on the Facebook “Like” button when you are logged in to your Facebook account, then you can link the content of our pages to your Facebook profile. This allows Facebook to link a visit to our site and to your account. We expressly inform you that, as the provider of this website, we do not have insight into the information sent to Facebook, nor about the way Facebook uses it. For more detailed information, see Facebook’s privacy policy at www.facebook.com/about/privacy/.
If you do not want Facebook to link your visit to our website to your Facebook account, log out of your Facebook account first.
7. Links
These privacy policies do not apply to services offered by other companies or individuals, including products or websites.
When we offer links, we strive to ensure that those links reflect our Terms of Use and our security standards. However, we cannot influence other service providers and force them to comply with our privacy policies and security standards. Accordingly, please refer to the websites of these other service providers, and in particular the privacy policy posted on their websites.
8. Changes to the terms of our privacy policy
We reserve the right to change our security policy and data protection system in cases where technological advances make it necessary. In such cases, we will also revise the privacy policy. Therefore, please always read our latest version of the Privacy Policy.
9. Children and young people
As a general rule, persons under the age of 18 may not share any personal information with us without the consent of a parent or guardian. In addition, we expressly state that we do not request, collect or share personal information with third parties relating to children and young people.
10. Responsible person / right of refusal / contact option
You may withdraw your consent to the collection and storage of your personal data at any time. You can also contact us if you have any questions related to our privacy policy or if you wish to correct or delete it.
